Description

COVID-19 has increased the prevalence of mental health disorders, substance use/abuse, and suicidal ideation. Despite the availability of effective treatments, 34% of people with depression do not receive treatment. Additionally, only 1 in 3 individuals seek treatment for alcohol-related disorders, and nearly two-thirds of patients with opioid use disorder have no access to counseling and psychosocial support. Digital therapies may be an option to prevent, manage, or treat these issues. This presentation will review evidence-based digital therapeutics (DTx) that are rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy and designed to offer interactive psychotherapy techniques for specific psychological issues.
